Island Tour: Scuba Diving in Moorea (Society Islands)
MOOREA SCUBA DIVING
 As
you board the dive boat, taking in the beauty of this lush green
island, you are likely to encounter groups of dolphins racing alongside
the boat. Before you know it you will be at your dive site as most
of the sites are only a 10-minute boat ride away. Before you do
a back flip into the water, you will be greeted by friendly black
tip sharks waiting to escort you on your descent. The sharks in
Moorea are not to be feared.
 In
Moorea, you are in a unique position to see Black Tip, White Tip,
Gray and Lemon Sharks. In fact, Moorea has become world famous for
its shark-feeding sessions. You will also see barracuda, jack fish,
snapper, grouper and morey eels. If you visit July-October you are
bound to see humpback whales as they come up from Antarctica to
mate and give birth.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN MOOREA
Moorea is the tropical South Seas paradise you have dreamed of.
Whether you arrive by plane or boat the beauty of this majestic
island will instantly inspire you. Magnificent volcanic peaks covered
in green velvet look down upon lapis colored bays and a turquoise
lagoon. Beautiful white sand beaches surround the entire island.
 Moorea
is an aquatic paradise. Paddle an outrigger canoe, charter a sailboat
or go deep-sea fishing. You can get a birds eye view of the lagoon
by parasailing almost 300 feet in the air. Or you can go to depths
of 200 feet within a submarine explorer.
For the land lovers in your party, you can hire a private guide
to take you hiking through the mountains or hop on a 4-wheel drive
to explore the inner island. On the magical island of Moorea, you
will never be at a loss of things to do.
